@dte21 I play bluegrass, and I couldn't agree more. When I write a new song, the picker doesn't have the song til he can hum or sing the melody to me, I don't care how manynotes are flying off of his mandolin, banjo, or fiddle

@dkapone You know what first off that strat LOOKS like Glen Goins' old strat. Look at those vids from the 1976 Houston tour. Second just by the way he sounds here he sounds like he's using a small two ten inch speaker type amp mic'ed up with a distortion on the amp.

@dte21 I'm a drummer and a bass player and I do play a little guitar. Though I never had a guitar teacher it's strange I was thinking the same thing. And I agree with'em.

I had a guitar teacher once, who was a old Jazz pro and he said that the secret to being able to improvise well was having the skill to sing what you play whilst you play it. Eddie does a fine example of this here.

What year Fender Strat and what kind of pick-ups? Plus other than unblistering funk, what pedal effects?
Eddie was pure genius

I am not Hampton bashing like the kiddies... but I have the whole show on video... Eddie totally cut Mike's head on this song
