Your trailer has a trickle charger in it already , when its plugged in to AC or your vehicle it will charge both batteries when connected as shown. If you are using an outside trickle charger to charge your batteries I cannot answer that question for you.

@SouthernFriedWays You are correct sir !!!!! I can't edit the audio otherwise I would change it. I just switched what I was pointing at....but if followed as negative to negative and positive to positive it will work as shown. Kev

Just to let you know to properly hook up the batteries. Yes positive to positive negative to negative. Then take your positive cable from your trailer to positive on one battery and negative cable from trailer to the other batteries negative. Will draw equally from both batteries. The way you have it with both trailer cables connected to one battery, it will draw a little more from that one where there both hooked up to.Hope this makes sense
Cheers

Is there a way to hook that up to the truck's charging system to charge them on the go? I'm trying to hook up one more battery in my truck just for tools, lights, etc. Would it fry my truck or inverter to hook it up the same and let the alternator charge them while I'm driving?

@7689568 I would think that hooking to many batteries up to your trucks charging system would overload it. Plus the inverter on the trailer only charges when its plugged in to AC. The only way they could be charged while driving would be to have another generator running(AC) or a solar panel.
