This is the future!!! check out the other videos on it. especialy the ones from the demo in japan. all questions are answered. It is cheaper than petrol etc. saver. faster to fill the car, only 70 seconds. the energy is all 0 carbon emission. search for better place for more info! Denmark and israel are going to have this in place in the next 2 years!!!

Fuel cells currently last less than a year before they have to be stripped down, cleaned out and rebuilt. 240 days is the record.

They cost roughly the same as a comparable battery pack that lasts 10-15 years. But you can charge the battery from any outlet (at night, when energy use is low). Where you gonna refuel that hydrogen car?

It's also the case that even if 100% of our power came from coal (it doesn't) if everyone switched to electrics, it would cut greenhouse gas emissions by 50%.

Err, you realize that Nissan, Renault and Tesla have already signed on for the swappable battery pack standard right? And that swap stations could easily handle a few different battery formats anyway?

The batteries are costly to produce, but you didn't bother to find out that the better place company owns, maintains and replaces them when necessary. You don't. You pay them off gradually, through the eMiles system. Similar to cell phone minutes, but it's 8 cents per mile driven.

just not convinced BATTERIES are the way. im holding out for a clean power source. electric cars dont solve any problem if we are still producing the electricity in a dirty way. the grids are already tapped as it is....tens of millions of batteries being c harged everyday surely isnt going to help. clean electric cars are the future, but relying on the govt to not mess it up....i hold little faith. More fuel cell development less concentrating on making old tech "workable"

Its is cheaper to refill ! so in the long run much cheaper even after the expense of manufactoring the battery. Standerdising something from the start is better then waiting for everybody to have their own way of doing things and then trying to standerdize it (it would take some time for them to work out their differances AGREED :D). But to be honest, who cares about the cost? if the government would help out we could have a cleaner futur, wouldn't you enjoy that aswell?

none of this is cheaper than petrol. the cells are horribly expensive to manufacture. the cars would all have to be standardized {in an emerging technology? never gonna happen} hell DVD's arent even standardized and look how long they have been around.... this one robot probably costs as much as the entire gas station. not to mention this is ONE "pump" if you will...fuel stations would need at least 6 or 8 of these going to service demand from customers.
