Nicely done. You might be interested to know that an early version of this was sung in the 15th century.... long before Peter, Paul, and Mary. It's one of the ballads collected by Frances James Child. Thanks for this version.

very nicely done, archambault65! we saw judy collins there about ten years ago at christmastime. that gets you in the spirit of christmas like nothing else!! five stars.

Thanks for your kind words and sharing that you were actually at the concert that inspired me for this song. I would love to hear the Judy Collins version again, as I couldn't find it on You tube.
The words of this song are like Adeste Fideles to me; they remind me of my connection to Christ.

Thanks brother. Judy Collins version of this song had a similar impact on me; I kept singing it over in my head - I could hear her voice; peaceful, spiritual, poweful. Thanks again.
