Oh, please ! Mayor Bloomberg is the reason that same-sex marriage cannot legally be performed in New York. After NY Supreme Court Judge Doris Ling-Cohan issued a judicial ruling that the right to marry the person of one's choosing was both a privacy right and a liberty right, her decision was appealed by order of Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Rent hikes are normal. I get a rent hike every year, and I also try to give one. It's called inflation.

One dollar in 1900 is worth almost $100 now. New York apartments once rented for $10/week. Those days are over, buddy.

Don't blame Mike. Blame the US Congress and the Federal Reserve. Our currency is toilet paper. 40 years ago it was 450 yen to the dollar. 5 years ago it was 120 yen to the dollar. Now it is 92 yen to the dollar. We just keep printing more paper.
