  • Remember people, these are legal.

BTW it's actually called Amanita muscaria var. guessowii. It seems that formosa is the European variety.

After eating one of these (dried with dehumidifer to break ibotenic acid down into muscimol) I felt a great increase in energy and a childish feeling. However these are far weaker than the red variety, so you'll need more for a real trip.

  • Amanita muscaria var. guessowii . . . right you are, Mr. Mycology. My bad.

IMO, the best way to dry shrooms is with a fan for a day, and then with some Damp Rid pellets in an air-tight container for another day or two until they are totally desiccated.

  • @noWMDwtf My preferred method is to salt them, place them in a box lined with tin foil, and shine a 75 watt light on them for two days. Goes great with hummas.

  • beannachd! :)

  • What is the name of that song?

  • how can i buy this??? help me

  • wtf its only in oregon coast.....nyc is notthing like that. Here in Oregon we got mushrooms crazy tho its raining and mild weather like everyday lol

  • if you eat these, I would suggest meditating on them to get the proper effects.

  • it must be harvest in the summertime for good potency. when i got them between 3 of us we ate an ounce an nothing happened. my guess is they had very small levels of muscimol ibotenic acid also makes u trip and metabolizes into muscimol , but is much less potent apparently. im in the northeast and ive seen the yellow/orange var. i plan on searching among the nearby hemlocks this august. hopefully ill trip this time. be cautious potency vary's greatly dont eat to much u will have a bad time

  • No it's just not recommended for human consumption.

  • That's an Amanita muscaria var. guessowii (which will be renamed to Amanita flavivolvata var. guessowii at some point in the not-too-distant future). Amanita muscaria var. formosa is a Eurasian variety.
