I wonder how helpful these gay distinctions of groups really are... I like that it helps inclusion and a sense of belonging, but at the same time, there's a worry (for me) that our community will (or is) too divided by these arbitrary lines.

@JamieDanger I agree that labels aren't really needed, because I just see myself as me, but it can be helpful when I'm trying to describe who I'm interested... I think lots of these labels are a little too specific and we are starting to go the way of the old "Hanky Code". If you have to whip out a reference guide every time you talk to someone it's probably too much ;-)
