  • Unfortunately in BRAZIL we do not have ANY drug (DTI class) to treat this very dangerous syndrome, thar kill more than breast cancer !!!

  • Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia (HIT) is an acquired, transient, quite devastating prothrombotic disorder, that ironically is caused by the anticoagulant heparin.

HIT could be present in different clinical ways

  • This medical situation is devastating to the individual who develops HIT or HITT. I suffered HITT after a bowel resection surgery, It was the 2nd time I was given Heparin for a surgical procedure. The bottom line was I had to have my right leg amputated because it became gangrenous from lack of blood flow to the leg. I was fortunate that was all that happened. Quite often of the 3%-5% of the general public who get this die. This is a medical emergency when it happens. Be forewarned.

  • wow i had thrombocytopenia ever since i was born but now its gone
