There are things you want to reveal and others you want to conceal. Owens lends himself, like his work, to a healthy mix of this alchemical ratio. What was great about interviewing him, was that even though I did not know him I felt that I could play around- ask him anything. He was amazing at concealing himself behind well-crafted narratives-- right on the spot. The moment he would duck behind the tale; he would leave a part of himself exposed, as if on purpose. We played within this framework for a few hours until both of us were exhausted. It was good.

  • I want to be friends with finius now as well. Owens, is definitely off his rocker, but that is probably what makes his a great artist.

  • your write -ups show the same amount of keen observation and true interest in the subject as your filming and editing does- i look foward to reading them as i do watching the work
