All Corolla models are now equipped with an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA).

Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS)
ABS helps to preserve stopping and steering control by reducing the chance that wheels can lock and skid during hard stops or stops on slippery surfaces.

Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD)
When EBD senses lightly loaded wheels, it reduces braking power to those wheels so they are less likely to skid.

Brake Assist (BA)
If BA recognizes that the driver has suddenly hit the brake pedal very fast, but not quite hard enough for full stopping power, it releases a burst of pressure into the brake system.
