Unfortunately, they have not made a commercial set of Starman. :(

But all is not lost! Just look at the fan club (still quite active btw) website. Google Spotlight Starman International. They have a set available for the club, & a link for you to vote for the commercial release as well.

You both have bias somewhere here, since you're on the extreme opinion for either the movie or the TV show. Reality is they both were GREAT!

I wonder if Sleepy even watched the show, cuz my experience with people has been the opposite percentage - the majority recognize Robert's brilliant performance in the series as well as Jeff''s in the movie. In fact, I don't rem anyone saying they hated either of them until now; & you both cancel each other out with your statements.

My memories of this show are precious. As a kid, I would eagerly await Friday night at 9 or 10 when it would air. Then watch it by myself. It's funny because my memories would have me believe I did this for a very long time. Hard to believe there was only 1 season. I guess when you're 10, 8 months seems forever.

I remember watching this show in Australia in the late 1980s. This series had something which is missing from most TV programs these days: heart, soul and even tenderness. It was the story of a father and son, of travelers and poets, of earth frailties and star-scapes. We need more shows like this - that dare us to look up and dream.

I had no idea this even existed! Looks like I didn't miss much. I don't think I could ever take Robert Hayes seriously after seeing his 'drinking problem' in Airplane 1 & 2.
