Contemporary Gestural Dance
The movements in this dance were created out of physical gestures exhibited by the characters Kathryn Janeway and Commander Chakotay on Star Trek Voyager. Fellow J/Cers should comment if you can pick any of them out. :)

  • I'll use this space to elaborate a bit more on the concept of the dance. This is a duet for solo dancer, which I find is a pretty accurate euphamism for Janeway's struggle with her relationship with Chakotay. The dancer looks often to the right, toward where Chakotay most often stood, as his chair was to the right of hers. This isn't meant to be the most beautiful, nor the most impressive dance ever made. It is an expression of the angst within the JC dichotomy. Please enjoy.

  • I have to say, I am pretty impressed. It definitely made me imagine you as Janeway dancing to express her emotions. I loved it. You're very talented. :)

  • The emotion in this song was very well depicted.

  • Thats amazing!
