Day 5: Why your Rosary is ineffective

I've been praying the Rosary everyday for nearly 2 years now. The first few months were hard, but after about 6 months it became so routine that I didn't think twice about doing it. And now after almost 2 years I look forward to it everyday and would not go without it. Some things take time to get into, but as long as we remember that its not about us so it doesn't really matter if we at first find it boring or difficult. Just do it for Our Lady so she will bring you closer to her Son.

Thank you Gabriel.

Some mornings I pray directly to Jesus and pray the chaplet of Divine Mercy praying each decade the stations of the cross or focusing on my petitions. Other days I pray to the blessed mother the Rosary mediating on the mysteries of our Lord. I also have that book, its a great little book

@GabiAfterHours Haha no I know what you mean - although I would just tweak that a bit to mention that the LotH does include Gospel readings (including the Canticle of Mary) every day, and then the Office of Readings has all those great writings from the Saints...I really love it!
But those great Saints who faithfully prayed the Liturgy of the Hours would obviously pray the holy rosary as well - I just felt like the Church wouldn't call it its official prayer for nothing ;)
I know many priest. and lay people who say the liturgy of te hours faithfully and they don't make a single convert, but I know many priests who say the liturgy of the hours and pray and promote the daily rosary and they make many many converts... Their is a secret to the rosary that few know and understand I plan on walking you through it.

We should definitely promote devotion to the rosary, but we should also promote the prayer that the rosary was based on. Today we find that in the official public prayer of the Church - the Liturgy of the Hours.
It outranks any private devotion, but I almost never hear people talk about it!

Liturgy of the hours is a great prayer!!!!! It is Liturgy! It is beautiful! It is the psalms at their finest... But the Rosary is the Words of Jesus, the words of Gabriel, the Life of Jesus and or Lady never appered to any Saint saying to promote Liturgy of the Hours for the conversion of the world. :-). Stick with me the next few days and we will see that no soul who persevers in the rosary will perish and miracles will abound.
