How to remove a fish hook.

I got a fish hook stuck in my finger in the BWCA. It was a stupid accident where I reached out to grab the fish and it jumped, plunging the hook into my thumb, then the fish jumped and it ripped the hook out of my thumb, and landed in my forefinger. This is a video showing how to get it out.

Becareful some hook are stained metal which can cause Tetanus.

@ljc198 u have no concept on how nail guns are used or work otherwise u would have an understanding that being shot with a nail gun happens quite often in the building industry, purely as carpenters operate under difficult & dangerous conditions also carpentry is based on a balance of quality & speed, thus making carpenters the most skilled & disciplined tradesmen in the world, u unskilled uneducated tard, hahahaha

i remember being 12 and going fishing with my friend it was her first time and she pushed me by accident when i had a brbed treble hook in my hand it got stuck in my finger in 2 places and was extremely hard to remove she paniked and fainted because she faints at the sight of blood and id forgot to take my pliyers i had to ask a nearby fisherman if i could borrow his lukily this had happened to my cousin not long before only with a single thats a day ill never forget

i know how , 2 years ago , i had a fish hook stuck in my foot..... they had to pierce another hole so the sharp end could get out and then cut the sharp end

No I am not nuts. I had already tried tying a line to the hook and pulling but it just didn't work.  This actually didn't hurt that much. The hook is so sharp that it didn't affect the nerves too much and pain was minimal. The method I used in this video was taken straight from a first aid manual and it worked just fine.

Thats why its good to carry hook cutters. the part where you have to push it through it through sucks but its LESS painful than just pulling it out.

Are you Nuts! This is no way to get a hook out. Please don't follow this bad idea. Use a peice of fishing line in a loop around the hook and with a quick pull the hook will come right out. Can't beleive someone would try and push it through, shit that must have hurt
