To all people saying the Boto/Amazon River Dolphin is going extinct, they are the only river dolphin that is NOT going extinct. They are just threatened and the population is fine.

true and since its the closest relative of the extinct river dolphins I read some where that they would try to use them as a base host to bring back the extinct ones with frozen sperm and such. basically they are also trying to do the same thing with mamoths

That poor thing! These animals are being threatened by the palm oil industrie and other pollution, the last thing these animals need is to be brutaly captured, prodstuted and forced to act like stupid idiots! They are too smart for that! And its the same with every single dolphin and whale being used in these kind of places!

They're considered Data Deficient by the IUCN, so technically you can't jump to the conclusion that they're "in danger" with extinction. Every species is under particular threats, though we don't know to what degree for the Amazon River Dolphin.
Sorry, but I think aVampireTear HAS done her research.

@Dracosgal8 oh wait.. they are just still critically endangered sorry
-
@Dracosgal8 yo they are extinct!

Yes ofcourse it is barbaric and shouldn't be done! I agree!
I was just making sure you knew that none of the parks I support through
pictures and videos gain their dolphins from the wild and Japanese drive-hunts
too bad its extinct

@aVampireTear ....Sorry to have to tell you but they are in danger of extinction. It's register and there are people now getting together to see how to help them. Rivers are being contaminated, people are fishing them to eat and others get trapped..... WE NEED TO SEE REALITY.... WORK NOW....then we won't cry after, due to just thinking and they're doing well. NO..... please do your research!

@KarenNoeth
This is incorrect. They are threathened yes, but there are populations
of several thousand in a single area. Far more than any other river dolphin
species today
