Israel fires at Palestinian fishing boats carrying Int'l act

Israeli gunboats opening fire into the sea very close to Palestinian fishing boats to force them back to the seashores. This came as the Palestinian fishermen were fishing within the allowed Palestinian
territorial waters.

The activist is right - Israel is imposing its will. What you're seeing are warning shots in an attempt to enforce the Israeli blockade. The guns on those boats are gyro stabalized .50 cals and 20mm cannon. One burst, shot for effect, would have taken out a fishing skiff in a second. Unfortunately, absent the IDF's Navy, Hamas would get unlimited rockets and shoot them into israel sparking a real war. Its too bad that the Arab fishermen are caught in this situation.
