@SKYEKING43 haha yeah. It's difficult to really get a handle on Calvin since my only interactions have ever really been through sports (both as an athlete and a fan), but at Hope the philosophy is "work hard, play hard." We take our classes seriously, but also invest ourselves in other activities outside of the classroom such as athletics and the arts as well as a host of other activities.

It's difficult to get a read on Calvin students cause I only ever see them wearing "Beat Hope" shirts...

@afan922 I gotta agree. this didn't have enough substance to really be funny. Besides...the general impression between the two schools is that Calvin is more scholarly while Hope excels at arts and athletics...so the stereotypical Hope student was actually what Hope students think of the Calvin kids.

It's because there is such a long history of rivalry b/t Hope and Calvin. I remember the sports rivalry was even mentioned on ESPN as the biggest in a third division school one time. I think it's funnier than anything but I guess some people get kind serious about it haha.
