I love them ! smart has made improvements since the 09' which is always good But the great news is the all electric smart is coming to the U.S. in 2012.

Hi friesenguard, I have had my 09' smart passion for two years now with over 20,000 miles and things are working great with it !! I'm still getting 40mpg riding in town and use it every day. I have had no mechanical problems with it and still love driving it. The smart car is a great vehicle for short trips.  Hope this helps, Jim

hey Jim, I have been looking to buy a smart car for a while, but I keep seeing reviews everywhere saying how great it is or how bad it is. can you give me your opinion with the experience you have? I would really appreciate it if you could pass on any information about problems you have had (mechanical or else covered by a guarantee or not) that would help a possible buyer. any information that you have would be apreciated. it would actually make a good video if you can make yourself impartial.
