That's a Southern bald eagle,one of two subspecies of bald eagle,Males can weigh 3 kilograms,reach 28 inches long and can have a wingspan of 6 ft,The northern bald eagle is larger,females have a wingspan of 8 ft.

The eagle was massive. You could hear the wings beating as it flew over our heads. It missed getting a fish.

Actually l nearly crashed my car when it flew over the top of me as l drove home. It was enormous and l stopped to watch it glide down. I raced home to get the kids and the camcorder so they could see just how beautiful it was. Sorry about the wobbly camera work but l was running. It regularly sits on the power lines surveying it's golf course dinner plate!!!!! It can be seen eating rats, fish and snake.
