Fred Astaire and Rita Hayworth in "You Were Never Lovelier"

They are fantastic in this movie. Her name is Maria in the movie, just so you understand the connection.

I am a huge Brooks and Dunn fan and I love their rendition of this song.

I couldn't imagine what amount of genious it took to compile this beauty, but after seeing it - I couldn't imagine it done any different. Thank you & yours for the effort...Intoxicating...

  • I used to watch this EVERDAY! Then it went away. Boo. So glad it's back.

    There are four wonderful things here;

    1. Rita

    2. Fred

    3. The Song, (Thanks B.W.)

    4. The idea to edit/mix these two very un-alike things to such a result.

There is just nothing today like Fred/Rita or this kind of elegance.

    Love it! Thank You Tori.

  • 4:06 Sheesh!

  • I to used to watch this, probably my #1 music video! and then it went away. Thanks for bringing it back.

  • @chamooddude1 As I am sure you do, I try everyday to promote all the things you've so rightly mentioned. Sadly, we live in angry times and the web has given folks the anonymity they can use to be hateful and ugly. I just wish I knew what gives them the motive.

  • @thephbalance ...I wish I could take credit but that belongs to 'Countrygirltori24.' She's the artist behind this piece...

  • @arromac great job putting this together. Fred was poetry in motion.

  • @chamooddude1 You are so right. I love that someone thought to mix the work of a burly 70's Texas rocker (BWS) and the the best of the elegance of the best days of ballroom dancing. It would be great to recreate the elegance of this era. Do we have anybody around today that could take the place of either of these two? I'm not sure but I"m thinking Rita Hayworth is the most beautiful woman that ever lived and Fred Astaire is in a class by himself on this type of dancing.

  • yes euqip, there is nothing like this, but hey, we can bring it back, let's bring it on back, why not? beauty, grace, love, humor, all that is good is immortal, it never dies, let's resurrect it, whaddya say?

  • I love love love this clip, thank youfor putting it on.xx.

  • This is how they should always be remembered.
