This is a project I just finished. The pond had over 50 lbs of decaying leaves, which had to be removed before draining the pond. A pump couldnt be used to drain the pond because of the extreme decay on the bottom of the pond, all the stones and larger rocks were removed and cleaned. Once emptied, the liner was checked for durability. A pond skimmer was inserted on the pond liner, which added extra protection for the pump by adding 2 seperate filters before the water reaches the pump. The filters remove the surface leaves before they decay. Once the system was installed, it was hooked up to the existing waterfall piping. The customer was not satisfied with the original waterfall, so we installed a custom extention on the end of the pipe to spread the water evenly over the rocks. When the waterfall was turned on, we found that the water no longer ran over the rocks, but ran in between the stones where the rocks had cracked and settled since the original installation. We recaulked the areas where the cracking occured and let it dry correctly. The next day, the waterfall was tested and passed. We also took up the stone in front of the pond, where some of the stone walkway sank since the original installation. The ground was leveled and stones were reinstalled at level. When the project was finished, the customer was very satisfied and requested we install water plants for color and effect. We added 3 Water Lotus, and 3 Water Lilly Plants that should bloom within the month.

  • That turned out great Shaun, I would not have even wanted to start a project like that with so many things wrong, looks brand new.
