@tubeinaredcircle Back in 92 the Republican National Convention was held in the Astrodome in Houston, Texas and had a platform that was anti-abortion, anti-gay, hard Right Wing and Republican voters said, "Enough is enough. I'm voting for Bill Clinton." to send a message to their own party.
BTW: Read what Ronald Reagan said in his final address to the nation at that convention and compare it to what the Republicans are today.

Wasn't just Powel. In the privacy of the voting booth MILLIONS of republicans pulled the lever for Obama in 2008. When given the choice between Obama and the slew of GOP crazies (Perry, Romney, Palin, Paul, Bachmann ect.), they'll do the same come 2012.
