He was at full throttle and then went to something like half throttle... not sure why. Definitely should have had some dual instruction/flight first.

what an asshole....both of them....I would never send a student up by himself with no prior two seat training....this tv guy is lucky he didn't get off the ground....somebody shoot the asshole with the radio please !!!!! He's giving a great sport a really bad name...what a douch bag !!!!!

These things are very easy to fly but make no mistake, you can easily kill yourself or someone else without proper training. I'm sorry but a 60 minute lesson wouldn't get you a drivers license. This is how people get killed doing stupid things!

Yahhh , I've never flown one, and could hardly think that 60 mins of quickie and hopelessly inadequate instruction would get me betting MY life on it. He was lucky that is all that happened!!! That idiot telling him to do it, should be arrested.
