Hey all, it's been a while since I have done a video and I figured that I should give my youtube channel a little attention and give my subscribers something new to watch. So I put this together really quick after I got home from work today. This is my Chaco Golden Knee female. I purchased her from a tarantula collector on the arachnoboards. I had her and another tarantula that I will showcase later in another video shipped to me overnight. They made it just fine and are very healthy and colorful.

I have been wanting to get a chaco golden knee for a while because they grow to be almost 9"! That's big enough to almost contend with a Goliath Bird eater but it is as tame as a puppy. Not only that but they look much better than the ugly Goliaths and they don't hiss or bite at you like the more aggressive species. I would most definitely recommend this spider for a beginner even over a rose hair or mexican red knee due to the fact that some rose hairs have been known to be aggressive although it is rare, and the red knees still kick hairs which can irritate some people.

Thanks for watching! Comment/Rate/Subscribe if you liked this video! I promise I wont disappoint you. Feel free to add my twitter as well @KirbyStyle and I'll post when I add new vids of my spiders, guns, gear etc!

  • lol it reminded me of a corpser when it ate the worm thingy...next time show it while your holding it

  • @TheGamersNextDoor It's really funny you say that because that's actually her name "Corpser".

  • @KirbyStyle2 hey, i'm gonna exchange my thai velvet for a chaco golden knee tonight :) so i wanna know, do they move slow like the A.Geniculata ? (i had an a geniculata a week ago and she's very slow moving and looks pretty docile, however the thai velvet dashed like an arrow as soon as i touched her...) so i wanna know can i handle the a.geniculata and Grammostola aureostriata ? :) i'm a beginner to Ts

  • @eddy536 You can def handle the chaco. I would almost go as far as to say it is THE most docile tarantula I've ever owned. Even more so than the rose hair or the red knee. It can be a little skittish and move fast however. For instance, if you tap it gently with a paint brush like I did in the video and it doesn't dash you should be ok. Today I got home and my chaco skittered into its pot when I turned the lights on. It should be fine to handle just take caution as with any species.
