Indian Army Infantry Soldiers

Infantrymen are soldiers who are specifically trained for the role of fighting on foot to engage the enemy face to face and have historically borne the brunt of the casualties of combat in wars. As the oldest branch of combat arms, they are the backbone of armies. Infantry units have more physically demanding training than other branches of armies, and place a greater emphasis on discipline, fitness, physical strength and aggression.

The Siachen is the world's highest battlefield located on the glacier at a height of 21,000 feet (6400 m) above the sea level.

After the Pakistani incursions during the Kargil War in 1999, India abandoned plans to withdraw from Siachen unless there's an official recognition of the current line of control by Pakistan, wary of further Pakistani incursions if they vacate the Siachen Glacier posts without such recognition.

@MrEthekyaa ... Thanks for these wonderfull words about my soldiers. Also i agree that our lot of equipment is old and cheap but we are upgrading them at rapid speed. But i dont agree with your last point .... Stamina do matter against physical size in war ... as you might have learnt from your experience in a country called Vietnam. ... long live Indo-US friendship. Thanks :-)

We should of been ally's with India instead of Pakistan. We killed osama bin laden and then they complain about assassination? India is better than china because India will ask and pay for your military equipment...China will just illegally steal and manufacture your gear.
