A Prayer for Owen Meany is a masterpiece. It's easily the best book I've ever read

An incredible writer, John Irving is, indeed. As good as several of the movies based on his books have been (Cider House Rules, Simon Birch (A Prayer for Owen Meany), The World Acording to Garp, etc., they pale in comparison to the books, themselves...

Greatest author ever. No question about it. 1) The World According to Garp 2) Until I Find You 3) Widow for One Year 4) Cider House Rules (All of these four these are minimally seperated) 5) Son of the Circus 6) Prayer for Owen meany 7) Twisted River 8) Hotel New Hampshere 9) Water Method Man 10) The one with bears in the title; total brain fart

John Irving is the most amazing author in the world. I look up to him immensly. The World According to Garp is just absolutely fantastic, and so is A Prayer for Owen Meany and all his other books for that matter. Reading his novels have made me want to be an author more than ever.

there is so much crap fiction published out there...i appreciate irving more and more with every book i read. i wish he pumped 'em out like stephen king, but i guess that would take away from his body of works.
