I think we have been misled about Internet Explorer8. When I downloaded it I thought I would get a browser like Flock or Google Chrome. But all I got was the same browser as the old Internet Explorer. My pc has got windows 7 and it says I have got Internet explorer 8. But it looks and is no different from Internet explorer at all. Andrea.

For ages now Microsoft internet Explorer has been hit everytime with bad pieces of adware from malicious Software like Viruses, spyware and adware etc but has Microsoft Changed it so that IE is no longer proned to being attacked by Browser Redirections from Bad Adawre that has been maliciously installed in it?

Microsoft is prone to being targeted by this kind of thing - IE is the most popular browser and is arguably used by the least tech savvy group of PC users, so there's never any guarantee of safety. That doesn't mean you should be complacent on any other browser or non-Windows platform though. MS does what it can to keep IE secure and is quick to update security flaws, but it remains a target. You must also actively keep your PC guarded by anti-malware software - don't just rely on Microsoft.

Do you mean that Live search has become your home page? If so, go to the page you want to open when you start, then from the Tools drop down choose Internet Options. On the General Tab there's a 'Home page' section. Click the 'Use current' button.
