This is great, but if it is intended as alternative intro I would rather avoid having a huge spoiler with showing Xavier in it.

@Rethice No, it actually was a two-part mature anime series, although I think it was mid 90s, not late 80s. Anyways the first episode is subbed while the 2nd is raw.
Obviously though the anime never really took off, the main focus of the franchise is in the games.
Rance ftw, also if you liked Sengoku Rance, you might want to try Daibanchou. A lot of similar elements to Sengoku, although the main character isn't as lovable as Rance. Extreamly addictive as well.

Where in the nine hells did you get that information? It's painfully wrong, and I suggest you do 5 minutes of research before you make a claim like that. That anime is an OVA tribute to the Rance series which is currently up to its 7th title - Sengoku Rance (as above).

This was based on an anime from the late 80's.
It was freaking hilarious, and full of over-the-top gore and hentai!
I watched a live-stream of it last night, and I laughed my ass off every time Rance saw a chick, and talked about how he was gonna rape her!!

I kinda lol'd that Hara, and Tanegashima weren't even included in the vid... hell, even Ashikaga was mentioned but only because of Yamamoto herself...
or even the Hanny King though they were joke characters to begin with...
