Drum recording video - Dante Agostini - "Floreal"

This is my second drum video recorded on my Sonor 3007 acoustic kit.

Here is a breakdown of the sections in the video :

1) 0:09 / 1:07 = i play a 7/4 pattern (4+3). Between 0:36 and 0:38, i phrase to suggest a different meter than the one being played by the music, by using a 4 over 3 polyrhythm (4 quarter notes beeing played in the time of three quarter notes).

2) 1:07 / 2:07 = 3/8 left foot pattern played between the hi-hat and clave. I play a snare solo over this before going into coordination patterns with my hands and right foot.
At the end of the section (start at 1:53), i play two polyrhytmic phrases in 2 over 3 (2 eight notes played in time of 3) while keeping the left foot ostinato.

3) 2:07 / 3:12 = Songo ostinato played across two pedals with the left foot (hi-hat / clave). I play simple things with my left hand (going from snare to floor tom), leaving my right hand open for independant phrases on ride cymbal.

4) 3:12 / 3:52 = soloing...i try to use different stickings like paradiddle-diddle (RLRRLL), inverted paradiddle-diddle (RLLRRL), hybrids (RLLRRLLR), etc...

5) 3:52 / end = going back to "latin section" with the songo ostinato played on the feet.
