Londons MC Xander has been described as a sonic shaman. A Rapper and beatboxer, this innovative artist uses nothing more than a mic, a pedal controlled sampler, an FX box and his own vocal chords to record, loop and edit the beats, sounds and words emanating from his mouth. Intricate, multilayered beats carry along sub-bass frequencies emitted form somewhere deep within his chest. Spine-tingling, almost operatic vocals merge with Sanskrit chanting and beautiful choir-esque melodies to create a platform for his conscious rhymes to flow over the top.

Although most of Xander's music has an unmistakable quality that ties it together, his vocal dexterity is a variable flow from arab-esque devotional chanting through soulful reggae crooning, to breakneck drum and bass, jumpy breakbeat and ragga stylings.

Having come out of Londons breakbeat scene, he has MCd for DJs like Atomic Hooligan, Rennie Pilgrim and Eddy Temple Morris and although MCs ordinarily need DJs, Xander is not an ordinary MC. His loopstation technique to human beatbox allows him to create incredible layered compositions before adding his poetic wordflows. The result is a combination of awesomely fat human beatbox, lush vocal harmonies and inspired rhymes.

Xanders versatility and near-universal appeal has seen him support big acts in the worlds of both hip-hop and alternative music. He has opened up for Mobb Deep, Whoo Kid and 3 times DMC winner, DJ Craze, as well as platinum selling singer songwriter Newton Faulkner.

His unique brand of multi-vocalism has seen him playing regularly at the UK summer festivals, including Glastonbury, Glade, Secret Garden and Bloom.
I Did Not Make This i got this from a friend who got a cd from glastonbury.

  • @darii14 Do not try to compare them to MC Xander - that is absolutely different level... There is MC Xander... huge gap then Dab FX and Beardyman and your Polish boys can only learn of them... Regarding learning... go back to school and learn some English language before you will try to write somthing in English...

  • This guy is a BOSS!!!!

  • It amazes me how people take everything as a competition, even music. It's just silly.

  • @misiequk dude i dont wanna be rude but whats wrong to promote some music that he likes and did wanna share with us so we cann enjoy good music so why dissin him ? second of alll just shut ur cakehole and enjoy the music instead of putting hate comments on youtube tyvm

  • i got here by accident and im fairly impressed by this guy, although his lyrics are very "hippie-esqe" im just guessin thats his style anywaaaays pretty cool

  • @misiequk You should use proper language before you insult someone else's.

  • what the hell guys.. why all the hate about who's better? Dub FX and MC Xander are both awesome artists.. and their style is not compareable.. they're totally different

but what they do have in common is awesome music - not for the masses, but people like you and me, who get touched by it, who get inspired, who reflect on their words..

love & peace y'all! (no I'm neither a hippie nor stoned! xD)
