ooooh now that's a bad case of napping lol rider handled it well only thing i would have done would be stop past the gate as stopping at the gate was what the horse wanted

Although you can't see properly this horse appears to be hypersensitive to rein contact when approaching the fence. It may have been socked in the teeth by previous rider & rearing is a way to prevent this. Its also shows little understanding of the stop response [after the fence] I'd be interested to know from 'horsetrainer' whether this is the case? The horse looks physically uncomfortable.

Any rider should view rearing as a problem & not the horse just being naughty - its either psychological or phsyical! Obviously the physical should be ruled out first. If not physical & psychological, it is a 'conflict' behaviour which is brought about by incorrect riding - reinforcing incorrect behaviour, overt rein contact, kicking and pulling at the same time! Punishment is not a good learning tool. Reinforcing correct behaviour is! I'm sure this rider has inherited this problem.

Well.. you really know how to stay on a horse!!! Great job! ^_^

Guys, whoever is saying she is not training correctly, needs to re watch the video. Though she may tap him with the crop, she also rewards him when he has done well. And that is how a good horse is made. Props to her.

@anees1996 when did i say in my comment to reward the horse? what ever worked for you thats fine i dont give. my opinion is that you shouldnt hit, you can train without it but that doesn't mean to reward the horse.
I should think twice? learn to read. when did i say reward. jeeez.

@horsewhisperer8897 haha well dont know anything do you? if your horse was rearing, then im pretty sure you wouldnt be rewarding it. a crop isnt going to hurt the horse, and the way she used it was not in any bad, cruel manner. my mare used to have a horrible rearing problem. and i didnt eliminate the problem by rewarding her when she did it, i gave her a smack. she got it through her head it was wrong. i think you should think twice before you say comments about something you dont know.

@JackaCrack1 coming from a girl that got bucked into a metal fence once and has a horse that bucks if you jump incorrectly: i totally agree! the last time my horse pulled something like that i first considered the fact that if i got off that would teach him that doing that would get me off, then i also considered that i had just mounted and was not in the arena yet and i was on hard ground with rocks in it and decided to bail out, lunge the horse, then get back on and continue my ride.
And an Awsome Trainer she is doing everything right. I have trained horses for 9 years! Good Job girl!.
