The latest installment in the epic Vision of Isaiah series of music videos.

I had begun adding visuals for this video in October 2010, but I got bogged down on other projects and decided to release this video with only the words displayed.

Isaiah Chapters 3 and 4 word for word from the bible.

  • @BeholdTheSonOfGod I write my music to be played by people who are not experts. Since I don't sell my songs, the greatest pleasure I get is when someone else takes the trouble to learn my son and play it. How much of your Rush, Genesis, and Yes, gets played in churches? Exactly what kind of thought do they provoke beyond, "They are amazing!" I'm most amazed at how swift you are to judge and insult where you know so little about me. Do you carry contempt with you like a greeting card?

  • @BeholdTheSonOfGod Idolatry of Music is the juvenile attitude that believes only the most complicated kinds of music have any value. Only the music that it takes an expert to play is deemed worthy. Any other music is looked down on and trashed. You speak like a typical musical idolater. Your gods make better music than I do. I try to make my music as accessible as the Gospel, simple is better. Christianity is not some puzzle for intellectuals, the beauty of the Gospel is that it is simple.

  • @BeholdTheSonOfGod ":Anything to kill off thought, right. Electrocution is quicker than this painful way of death."

Honestly, you are the one who needs to do a little thinking. I do not find a fill or a solo section, or instrumental section, "thought provoking" I keep the word of God coming and I don't break off from it to "show off" You judge me based on one song and by your warped ideas about music. I came up with a name for your way of thinking about music - Idolatry of Music

  • @BeholdTheSonOfGod "But that charismatic stuff always was a tad repetitive and didn't need much skill.

When i was a teenager I was bass player in a band and we played "Red Barchetta" and "Tom Sawyer" and other songs that you would approve of. Most music is "repetitive'. I could point out repetitive elements in most music. Especially when it comes to the words. The focus of my songs are the words, I've put over 70 chapters of the bible to music, including a couple of books.

  • @BeholdTheSonOfGod More, My critics seem to labor under several delusions. The first delusion is that they think that I make music for their listening pleasure. My music is not intended to please or entertain you. Neither is it intended to impress you with technical prowess. Those are the reasons the children of this world make music. I sing the scriptures because that is what God called me to do. Your opinions on the subject tell me about you, they say nothing meaningful about my work.

  • @BeholdTheSonOfGod This comment is an excellent example of the kind of thinking inspired by your philosophy. It is a small thing to me for you to compare my work to that of the ungodly (Rush). Much less for my work to be judged by someone whose publicly exhibited music seems to consist of 2 repeated arpeggios. You play a fine game of insults, and I can feel the venom of your spirit. From word one from you, sarcasm and bitterness are the fruits you offer me. What a stunning example.

  • @BeholdTheSonOfGod was it 5 chords? My apologies, I dozed off after the first 3 minutes.

Back in the Day bands like YES could whip off dozens of creative changes and dozens of chords in 8 and a half minutes. I could listen to the whole side of an album of theirs or RUSH or early Genesis.

But that charismatic stuff always was a tad repetitive and didn't need much skill.

Anything to kill off thought, right. Electrocution is quicker than this painful way of death.

    Your brother likes it.

  • @BeholdTheSonOfGod What is that comment supposed to mean? If you meant well, it was not taken well. This song uses 5 chords. Look at my latest video, John 2, listen to the intro and the outro music. You don't need a lot of chords to make a song, too many chords makes a song dissonant. It is such an amateur thing to say. People who accomplish nothing never fear being critical of those who work hard, you could do this, you could do that, you say, but you don't do much of anything useful.

  • That was a wonderful use of my time. I can do the whole Bible in just two chords and send you all the links :)
