Joseph L. Graves debates J. Philippe Rushton on the significance of racial differences in IQ as well as the role that evolution and genetics play in determining human intelligence and behavior.

Dr. Graves is an evolutionary biologist who has a B.A. in biology from Oberlin College and a Ph.D. in Environmental, Evolutionary and Systematic Biology from Wayne State University. He is the author of The Emperor's New Clothes: Biological Theories of Race at the Millennium.

Dr. Rushton is a psychologist who has a B.sc. from Birkbeck College at the University of London, a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics and a D.Sc. from the University of London for work on altruism in children. He is the author of Race, Evolution and Behavior: A Life History Perspective.

Dr. Graves seemed somewhat belligerent and aggressive. The blks in the audience responded to that by laughing and signifying as they do in blk churches. More evidence that Rushton is obviously correct.

If I were in the debate I would have presented my home town of Detroit as evidence. When Detroit was 90% white it was great. Now that it is 90% blk, shit hole just like EVERY other blk city in the world BAR NONE.

Rushton was out-numbered 3 to one and he sill won the debate. LOL

@andrzejewski1960 There are some nice majority Black cities in the Caribbean such as Nassau, Bahamas. Graves may have been emotional and had some cheerleaders in the crowd but I believe his arguments were solid and Rushton looked noticeably frustrated in the debate. Graves had a retort for every argument Rushton made and Rushton self-destructed in the debate with his sophistry about White atrocities being part of human nature and no races being more savage than another.

@EgalitarianJay Graves didn't explain why the numerous variables listed by Rushton group into three taxa. That seems to be a feature of the data that requires explaining.

@PiotrThePrimate He didn't need to explain Rushton's numerous variables because he already explained why Rushton's evolutionary theory is wrong. His other data is inadequate for supporting his theory and much of that data can be explained by environmental factors. Basically once the core assumptions of Rushton's theory have been falsified the extra data he compiled can be dismissed as evidence supporting the theory.

Do you want me to give you examples of shit hole Caucasian places? India for example!! Then Somali, then in Eastern Europe, Bosnia, Croatia, mostly former USSR, and don't tell me communism caused that, because before communism they were not as developed as people thought, the list can go on and on. @FIGHTFANNERD3 Black crime rates are higher according to what source? The FBI has a statistical methodology you may wanna look at. Also see Cold Case Files...Almanac Book of facts 2011, pg 127 to 132 FBI's Uniform Crime Reports by race 70% distribution for whites(Not including corporate crimes). However, the methodology will tell you that statistics aren't remotely reliable enough, if well comprehended....More whites should be in prison but they're not

In response to the 100 of each race question the 2nd white guy is fighting strawmen. Noone stipulated that in sorting them out you can only use one variable (he names skin colour). You can use a set of variables eg. skin colour, hair texture, skull length, nasal opening etc. I feel he is being disingenuous in his answer to that audience question.
