If Razor got first he would just keep stabbing till Hypno stopped moving but if Hypno-Disc got first hit in Razor would just get ripped to shredds

1) Dead metal wasn't really for causing real damage, it was meant to hold robots while the other HR's destroyed it.
2) Sgt Bash's flamethrower had good comedic value with the likes of Diotior and Granny's Revenge
3) The pit was for getting robots out of the way, not for crushing something that people have possibly spent lots of money and time into building.

hypnodisc was definetly better looking in series 4 in than in any of the other series.
