  • what kind of camera you using? Great picture quality.

  • @coptechgold i use a panasonic hdc-tm60 full hd video cam. i got it for the clarirty and becouse its palm size to reduce weight . i like it alot and highly recomend

  • Great video! The timing is perfect, as I was curious what the conditions looked like in the Auburn area. I'll be up there (I live in SoCal) the week of the 11th visiting mom in Lincoln. I thought I'd scratch around on the North Fork above the waterline. I've been to Mineral Bar and Bear River but never to the confluence before. Has it been picked pretty clean or is there hope of finding some color higher up? I won't have a chance at going back up there until at least the end of summer.

  • @MrBambam1346 if i was going out right now i would stick to bear river or mineral bar . some were around that area , the area at the confluence is well worked, at the present river level .. the water need to go down to reach flood gold deposits...if anything i would wait like the rest of us...lol

  • so you cant run year round in this area?

  • @mortormarsh you can but on the banks in most area its all hard rock, with little over burden. down buy the confluence, its hard pickens as well best to allow thw water to go down to get the flood gold after.

  • OOOHHH my pan is golden alright!!! but not as golden as yours LOL.... Your just a gold hound bro!! LMAO!!!!

  • thanks for sharing the video, looks to be a promising prospecting season ahead. I can't wait for the rivers to go down. I've been working the seasonal creeks in my area. Keep the videos coming.

  • Believe it or not 3 weeks in early March the water was as high as you can imagine it plus a few feet. The complex I live and work at in Roseville overflowed and flooded out apartments. 10 year flood . . . 100 year storm . . Whatever it was. While everyone else is working the water line, I'm working up at head level or above. 2011 will be a great year. :)

  • I feel you man, Up here the Feather river is the highest I've seen in years, so I've been chomp-in at the bit waiting for it to lower. Should be a lot of flood gold this year. Thanks for the report

  • @scorpiotoyou funny you need to wait for the water to go down we need to wait for it to go up no more than 2 hours drive south

  • @scorpiotoyou Thanks for the info. I've been chomping at the bit to go out this season. Down here in SoCal there aren't any decent places to go, unless you like dry washing or detecting in the desert (not my thing). Everywhere else is so overworked, so crowded, and so filthy with trash from our south of the border friends, it's not enjoyable to go out down here.

Anyway, I'll probably go to the Bear River area as you suggest. I need my gold 'fix' soon. Keep the great videos coming! Thanks again
