aka chinese mitten crab. These small crabs from Yangcheng Lake which are considered a delicacy. A local taxi driver told me that the locals don't eat it. He claims that the government officials take the authentic crabs long before. Then crabs from surrounding areas get brought in and they use a chemical to change the color of one side to match. The chemical is known to cause cancer. Then the crabs are put in the Yangcheng lake to be harvested later. True? Who knows. October is the season to eat it.
