So are suggesting that minority youth are less digitally oriented than white youth? Maybe true but perhaps more accurate if you substitute economically disadvantaged for racial characteristics, or focus on deficient school systems who have not adopted technology in the class rooms in grade and high schools. This is changing.

While there are real problems, this video is not fair.
My university has students from over 80 countries. Most of which are Asian, European, African, Australian, etc....and most are not racist.
The faculty are just as diverse.
If you think that there is a disproportionate amount of non-white professors in Universities perhaps you might pursue becoming a professor yourself and encourage others to do the same.

I've been researching participatory media for a long time... Both Videos tell truths. Education needs to be dragged out of the 19th century (see PBS Growing Up Online).. and yes, it is making it even more difficult for low-income, at-risk kids to compete. The needed technology and connection is not reaching them. With inspired LEADERSHIP, young people of all races will collaborate creatively to help solve these problems

thank god you made this video. i was sickened by"a vision of students today".you are so right, technology cannot cure the world. technology is a major part of what has caused many of the problems in the world today that deal with society. most people are oblivious to the 'cons' of technology, and the fall of society and culture it is starting to cause. I admit i did not really understand what your message was with the race issues. what did they really have to do with technology, and learning?
