This is a range report and review of what I feel to be one of the most underrated firearms on the market today...the Walther PPK.

  • so i have a question. i want to start carrying (and i am in a concealed carry only state) so i was wondering what is a good but small gun for people with larger hands? i like thin grips. but i need a long(er) grip (than most popular small guns). i thought about a colt combat commander but that is not so easy to hide. and also i don;t want to carry a 45 for defense (it would be major overkill imho)

  • @theULTIMATEanswer42 The PPK/S has a pretty decent grip...but there are tons of other options. many small revolvers have nice grips too. I would suggest going to a local gunshop and holding multiple guns.

  • is ammo for this gun cheap or expensive? just generally how much is it?

  • @shahogner87 .380 is not the cheapest ammo in the world...but this is not a range gun. I think I pay about $17 for a box of 50 when I take it to the range.

  • this or the Kimber ultra 2/ crimson carry? what do you recommend?

  • @153masterchief Depends on what you want. Do you want a Micro 1911 or do you want a smaller gun? Both would be great for carry. The Kimber is going to be more powerful, but I think the PPK is easier to handle and shoot accurately.

  • Hello there,

I like your review, very systematic, very thorough, and very clear. That is why I just subscribe to your show. I have S&W 357, Springfield EMP, and I am into buying a back up concealed gun, and I am thinking about the PPK or PPK/s. Your advice please. Thank you.

  • @zop2o Actually Bond's PPK was chambered in 7.65mm Browning, also known as .32ACP.

  • The PPK is a fine weapon, but other than aesthetically I don't see any way that it outperforms my Bersa. Now that's an underrated gun.

  • @TheYankeeMarshal I agree, that's why I am looking at LC9 and Khar and Kimber, 380 is very expansive, which it shouldn't be. I bought boxes of 50 9mm for only $9 at the local gun show. My fav. is 22 mag, they should make more 22 mag pistols. I think they are more compact and equally deadly if you place your shot well, and way cheaper than 9 or 380.

  • @zop2o Yeah, but he also just take the guns from the guards most of the time. Or use his gadgets.

  • is this the gun that was in goldeneye 007 movie ?

  • Sounds like your cat loves guns too. haha

  • I have the blued American Arms model. I bought it used, I didnt think I would like the firearm as much as I do now. All I did was fire it for the first time....Hey it sounds like you have someone tied up and gagged screaming in the back ground. Just thought Id let you know.
