Alternate Sorceress footage!

Unbeknownst to many the season one He-Man episode "The Dragon Invasion" was sent directly to video with a couple of errors, preceding the actual airing of the episode in the US! The most famous error is that the episode features the original intro with the "Evil forces of Skeletor" dialogue replaced with "Evil Masters of the Universe". One of the errors that many may have missed occurs when the Sorceress appears to confront Skeletor at Castle Grayskull. In the original footage the Sorceress first appears in the form of Zoar and then transforms, which was a huge continuity error as the Evil Warriors were not supposed to know that Zoar and the Sorceress were one and the same! Later in the production of the series the scene was corrected...

How is that corrected? I don't see anything wrong with the original version.

Read the text that accompanies this video - In the original footage she appears in the window as Zoar then transforms into the Sorceress - In the corrected footage she appears only as the Sorceress! :)

The evil minions are not supposed to know the Sorceress is also Zoar..

I saw that over 20 years ago but I remember the Sorceress appears without transformed into zoar.

The corrections were good both for sound and light. The picture was very blurred in the origian, and the fix had more definition.

Why did they change Sorceress's apparition?

I'm sorry I like the original version better. Masters never followed context, example She-ra and He-man breathing in space one episode and then they can't in another. Dragon Invasion is one of my all time favorites too!

Not only is this a good example of footage, but audio. In the first half the sound and Skeletor's voice were exactly as they were in that video I owned and the the second half, supposedly, the DVD's footage, has it distorted.
