Great Britain in 1958 was a hell of a lot better than America was in 1958 in terms of blacks being able to call the police and run into a white owned store for safety from racist and dogmatic whites! Think about blacks in America being subjected to violence, they couldn't even call the police because they wouldn't even come! British society hated violence of any kind, while America condoned such violence! America no matter if we have a black president is a very violent and racist country!

@skam1 AGREED!!! Only those who have never stepped FOOT out side of the Colonies think that the US is a bastion of racial harmony...let's see: STOLE land from the Native Americans, STOLE Africans from their homeland to work the fields...later using the Chinese immigrants as well...Slave Labor to build the nation's railroads...yes, a veritable UTOPIA of racial equality...meh!
