First, vampires don't exist, so there is no 'correct' way to portray them. Secondly, we never said vampires wear dark clothes, crosses, or hate garlic. Third, we happen to like the 16th and 17th centuries so we can portray a fictional character from that time anyway we want to.

why did you use baby powder? there are plenty of white bases available for use making a vampire look

We used what we had and at the time we didn't have a white base,so we tried to make our own.
