Part 1 of 6: Phenomenal presentation by John Stossel of 20/20 explaining how the lack of competition within ever expanding government agencies create a bloated monopoly of inefficient governing bodies that simply dont work.
Our governments have exploded from their original roots to protect our rights to controlling every aspect of our lives in a counter productive manner that ultimately steals our living standards through excessive taxation.

For those who are concerned with outsourcing; it is argued by many companies that they do so out of necessity due to excessive taxation & regulations that render them inefficient on a globally competitive market.

Governance is corporatism. Taxation is essentially a monopolized business contract imposed by force with mafia tactics. Its not a democracy, nor a republic, these are all glossy marketing terms. Its oligarchy.

GAAAhhh just talking about this in my philosophy class. We are were then enslaved because we dont even know we are!!!!

And our American way it to be cocky, to have "power" my car, my gun, my space, youtube. This is all to just distract us from how enslaved we really are!!!

@phdtobe Yes, but what art do they sponsor? Who's art do they sponsor? If I produced a painting of a person urinating on the American Flag, should the government sponsor that? Or a painting of a person murdering an infant is that OK? Who makes that decision and why? Believe me, you do NOT want the government sponsoring the arts. All it does is potentially limit freedoms of speech in all forms. Let society decide what they want to sponsor, it is the only way to guarantee liberty and freedom.

This point of view ignores the notion that government should 'promote the general welfare' of the nation. When I was younger, I believed in this rather Libertarian point of view. I have since learned that some government expenditures for things like the arts has enriched my life in ways that I would never have anticipated when I was younger and less informed/experienced in life. As such, I now believe that the question is not whether the government should sponsored the arts but how much.

I contribute many taxes too. Income tax, business tax, property tax, sales taxes, gas tax, carbon tax ect then the government gives it to stupid parents who have toomany kdis they can't afford and bums
