  • Pregunta: Wouldn't it be more grammatically accurate to say "Por que lo me gusta?" Saying it the other way gets the message across fine, but if you were to include the directy object, is that the way you would say it?

  • @AstroAntaAposAnarch Nope... the reason is that gusta has to agree with a subject or subject pronoun. Lo is an object pronoun (direct object), corresponding to "it" in English. So, you could say something like me gusta ella, or, me gusta eso, she is pleasing to me, that is pleasing to me... but the thing that is pleasing is the subject, not the object in the sentence, so lo would always be ungrammatical... hope that helps!

  • @mariettadecea muchas gracias!!

  • Hi. These are really nice, clear videos, thank you. You have a talent for presenting Spanish. I wondered if you are thinking of doing some more advanced ones? There is a definite lack of good, straightforward help for intermediate learners - there are plenty of podcasts, but very few that include helpful, friendly analysis and comment in English as well.

  • Thanks for the comment, Tabby!

  • The guys a genius. I like his style. Sense that he knows more than he's letting on. That's the thing teaching is a vocation, a calling if you like. In Britain the wrong people are going into teaching. Contradicting myself but I think the net and other distractions harm children's concentration. But this is a good use of the net, a good use of that resource.

  • you are doing a great job, your easy to understand and I sure appriciate your help.

  • Hi Prof. Jasson, I love your online classes and I always reffer your videos to my students when there is something that still after my classes is not clear enough for them. I would like that in your next video about question words you give some examples about the use of whom. You mentioned whom as a question word, but you didn't give us any exemples. Muchas gracias nuevamente

  • hi
