I reckon they have changed the name to prevent potential students from overlooking them as an option due to their "central" locality. With the words "central queensland" changed to CQ, this broadens the scope for new recruitments given the option of "external study." The logo, is an attempt at giving the uni a more modern appeal.

OK, the name`s changed from `Central Queensland University` to `CQuniversity`. This`s fine even though it doesn`t make a big difference between these two ways to say the name. We used to call `CQU` but now we`ll call `CQuniversity`. But do you think the new logo looks very nice? Can you tell me what`s the real sense behind color and style used in this new logo?
