oh i forgot, after step 7, once inverted if you see any greyish color in the pic use your white brush to color over them so your pic will be totally white. then crop.

Hoshiet left 0 characters to write. I dont know if my post tutorial help but from what i can infer from this vid yeah it somehow like this. Sorry if I typed wrongly or did some wrong step. :P at least i tried hahaha

1) put your pic
2) Go to your Channels Tab, Create a copy of the Blue layer.
3) On the Blue layer, ctrl + L (levels) or Image > Adjustments > Levels.
4) Adjust the image, until somepart is totally black
5) once adjust, use your brush and paint over the image with black color, (still in blue layer)
6) once your image is fill with black, ctrl + I (Invert colors) or Image> Adjustments > Invert.
7) once inverted, still in CHANNELS tab, click the 1st icon at the bottom to select the image.
8) crop

What if you didn't have a white background and you had similar colors to the actual picture... it's really hard to remove background and you have to use the polygonal lasso(that's the one I use)
