  • Why don't average english people talk as properly as teatchers?

  • @1963Luisito It's a great point! We call it "teacherese" i.e. the way that language teachers talk VS the way that everybody else talks. The register or level of formality for native speakrs can vary. You can see the same native speakers in the movie Avatar speaking and the scientists are way easier to understand than the soldiers.

  • @PrivateEnglishPortal I fully agree with you!! I can understand pretty well most English teachers as well as documentary films or lectures or formal presentations, but I have a great trouble when it comes to understand native informal talks , native people talking to each other or Hollywood movies. Maybe I could get this problem over by living in an English-speaking country for some time.

  • Hola Steve. Como has estado?. It is always to be a pleasure watch your video and I go straight to the point, regard to the phrasal verb "take something down" Does it have the same meaning or it is similar to the other phrasal verb "Write Down"??
