A camera captures constantly images of a real dragon modell. An analys-by-synthesis method compares them with a huge number of generated images of possible configurations. The best fitting configuration is equal with the real position of the dragon.
This is a prototype developed at the university of koblenz-landau. To check one hypothesis it takes about 10 ms on the GPU. Therefore we can gain nearly intercative framerates after initial position/orientation detection.
