this boy just wanted attention for him self. his boyfriend, richard, asked him to go to his prom with him and all derrick said was no. like really!!!! you ask your boyfriend to go to your prom and then make a big national scene with it and when that boyfriend asks for you to go to his prom you turn him down?? like really that just says you wanted the attention and that you are a complete douche bag...

The guy is 18 years old. If he doesn't want to respect his parents values, what makes him think he's entitled to their support. Good on his parents for sticking up for their rights.

If that were true then I suppose I could assume the same about you since you are so "aggressive" in defending yourself here. I highly doubt the school's officials are being threatened and as for the parents, well they deserve to be ran into the dirt, in fact lower.

He's an honor student who volunteers with disadvantaged people. His boyfriend Richard seems very respectable. His parents are missing what could be a happy time.
