[LOTRO FTP BETA] New water effects with DirectX 11

This is the new water effect that's coming with the introduction of certain DX11 features in the Free-To-Play version of LOTRO, coming this Fall.

Also notice the new hobbit run animation, definietly an improvement over the previous one.

Ultra High detail setting, 1280x1024
DirectX 10 is on.
DirectX 11 Ambient Occlusion is on.

I got my beta key from curse.com but it says that the server is Online! But when i press play it says ''Unable to connect to World Queue. Please try again.[ERROR 50000]. Plz help

@Pr0rk3r There is a message in the launcher: World Queue Errors

Aug 23, 2010 04:00 EST There is a known issue with new beta players seeing a World Queue error when trying to access the server. If your Beta account was created on or after August 17 then this error is likely to affect you. We do not have an ETA on a resolution for this issue.

@JHRMS Not that I saw, nothing like in Far Cry or Crysis. The surface is still flat, they just added an extra layer, which in itself is also flat.

LotRO is by far the best looking MMO out there, its also VERY well optimized, it runs better than WoW lmao (for me at least) its strange, I know

@mmorpgfreak1000 it had better graphics than WoW the day it was released. now its the first DirectX 11 MMO out there. it looks amazing for how well it runs.

I see no DX11 water effects here :/ Probably due to "DirectX 10 is on.". Also I don't see why ambient occlusion would be DX11 related...

Everything here has been possible with DX9 for quite a long time.

This feature was scrapped. its not in the game now. sucks really. instead WOW stole it. and put it in with cataclsym
