Civilized society depends on proper education built on a healthy foundation. But
the only true foundation for education is the same as that of all of creation: "In
the beginning, G-d created the Heavens and the Earth."
Germany was the most intellectual nation of its time, including in the study of
ethics and philosophy. But without the "foundation of wisdom" -- the knowledge
of G-d, they immediately sank to unimaginable depths of inhumanity.
There is only one way to ensure that a child grows up to be decent and upright:
He must be taught to begin each day by acknowledging G-d, the Creator, Who
wants this world to be governed by morality and holiness. He must know that G-d
is above and beyond every human being, yet is a personal G-d Who is aware of
everything the child does.

  • This well known Rabi speaks classic "Jidish" an obscure dialect which the Jews of eastern Europe developed, over centuries, as a secrete language for themselves. It is clearly an admixture of Slavic, (Russian), and Eastern German dialects, (such as Austrian-German).

  • Enough said.

Your Skythingy fills your universe and even surrounds it. Good for you. Imaginary friends are the best ones.

I now know that you are one of them gagagardeners of god..

I like hedonistic gardenparty's and I never write god with a capital G. Have a nice life and pray 4 me as mutch as you like or light a "bougia" 4 me. Goodbye.

  • First, my G-d is neither male nor female. I call "Him" because it's a term of strength and respect, but He is beyond gender, and is not limited to the sky. He fills and surrounds all the Universe, and can never be fully grasped by any mind. Still, what is wrong with imagining Him as a strong, benevolent, wise parent, who has taught His children how to act towards one another and properly care for this Garden of Eden He has placed us in?

  • Wisdom and fear of some skydad are contradictory. Rise above such fear and notions is what humanity must do with the confidence that we can behave like modern nice humans on the planet. On the planet rather than under a god.

  • If you've read anything about the history of science you have surely read about such rivalries as between Edison & Tesla, & the struggles of people like Edward Jenner to have their theories accepted by the scientific Establishment. Not only do great minds not always think alike, they often violently try to crush any idea that threatens their base of power & funding. "The Beginning of Wisdom is the Fear of G-d", meaning without HUMILITY one CAN'T BE OBJECTIVE, & so can't see the truth

  • 1) nice ones or they would be a bit deluded. 2)violence is not rational behaviour. Some surely have a temper.3)Lust 4 power is stupid and rational people also make mistakes I'm sure.4)Most of them claim to have found the truth and that others are lost. I find that most look for their own convenient truths and the fact that they are dogmatic does not help them. 5)I like Ayn Rand's view on humility (for once). 6)Hope I win a toaster or DVD.

  • Isleofyew1, I'd be curious to read your answers to these 5 questions:

1)Do you believe rational men have no egos?

2)Do you believe they can never disagree, even violently?

3)Do you think it IMPOSSIBLE for rational men to desire power at the expense of truth?

4)Do you think it is POSSIBLE that some men of religion may be seeking truth?

5)What role do you think HUMILITY plays in the search for Truth?

  • My nature..

My fight for a rational world

    The movie RELIGULOUS.

    Not god nor money.

    beind an Atheist

    coïncidence

  • I'm curious isle1, what brought you to this video? What led you to comment on it?

  • No isle1, indoctrination just means the repeating of ideas that may be true, but not nec obvious or easy to live with or accept, such as respecting people with different views to yours, or forgiving those who may have hurt you in some way. These things do not come naturally, but are nec for people to get along. BTW, if you saw a Jew pass by while with your son, would you tell your son, "That man is evil because he is a Jew!"???
